IMAGINE IF YOUR ALARM SYSTEM HAD EYES
It's not a new concept to have your alarm system "monitored". But you can now enable the same trusted alarm monitoring company to use your existing CCTV camera footage - seemingly giving the alarm system its very own set of eyes, as a means of crime prevention.
VIDEO VERIFICATION AN EXTENSION OF YOUR ALARM SYSTEM
With the help of A.I. and a sprinkle of automation:
Unusual activity outside scheduled hours picked up by the CCTV will alert the control room. A human-eye will then verify the findings before calling the client and raising the alarm.
- All before the intruder has even entered the property.
SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
Traditionally, CCTV systems record video footage either locally—such as to a network video recorder (NVR)—or to the cloud. This new service enhances that functionality by allowing cameras to also transmit footage to a secure online server for intelligent analysis.
You would select one or more cameras positioned to effectively monitor key areas, such as the front or back yard—places where daily activity involving people or vehicles typically occurs. These selected cameras are connected to your alarm monitoring control room via the internet. However, the control room does not have continuous live access to the footage. Here’s where the system gets intelligent.
You define a set of rules specifying what types of activity are considered suspicious—such as human presence during certain hours. If such activity is detected outside the defined parameters, the camera captures a still image and sends it to the secure server.
Artificial intelligence then analyses the image to determine whether it actually contains a person or vehicle.
If the AI confirms this, the image is forwarded to a human analyst in the control room for verification.
If the analyst agrees that the activity meets the criteria for concern, they contact the homeowner and trigger the alarm response as needed.

THE BEST PART IS THIS WORKS INDEPENDENTLY OF YOUR ALARM
Simply assign a set of pre-determined time periods in which activity outside the home would be considered "unusual". If your alarm is armed or not, the control room will use the CCTVs motion detection analytics to alert the client that something doesn't seem right.
HOW DOES THIS HELP YOU?
Perhaps you (or someone in your house) has left the alarm disarmed, or, if you're at home but your system doesn't have the "night mode" capabilities, your CCTV can now act as an extension of your security system.
WHAT IF MY CCTV IS OLDER OR LOW QUALITY?
Even if your CCTV footage doesn’t meet today’s high-definition standards, you can still take full advantage of this service. The intelligence is built into the online server, effectively transforming almost any camera into a powerful security tool.
The most important step is to ensure the cameras are clean and have an unobstructed view.
SO DOES IT TAKE LONG TO SETUP?
Not at all. For our existing clients, we can usually configure this remotely.
